growing up, people would frequently ask our mom if we were twins. not quite. while we have the same hair color, we have different builds, wear different sizes, and most important, require different length pants. abbie is 5’4, and ginny is 5’9, but we both agree that J.Crew has some of the best jeans around. we find that J.Crew jeans run true to size, and our favorite style right now is the “Demi-Boot Crop” Jean. there are several washes available, and they all look fantastic (stone, water wood, and charcoal).

abbie originally purchased these jeans in charcoal (currently on clearance!), in the classic length, which was perfect for her height. our mom liked the jeans so much she purchased a pair for herself and a pair for ginny as a christmas gift. abbie has since purchased a second pair of the jeans in the water wood wash (pictured in the images below). the classic length hit a little awkwardly on ginny (more capri pant, less crop kick). so, ginny exchanged her pair for the tall length in the same size…a perfect fit!

while J.Crew jeans might be priced higher than your $30 go-to jeans, in our experience, you will not need to replace them nearly as often. we have found that the jeans are worth the investment long-term, and J.Crew has great sales and discounts. students, military, and teachers receive discounts at J.Crew when they present an i.d. at checkout.
